We are Lakeview-Who am I?
Event Overview
We are Lakeview..are You? is a slogan that symbolizes the pride, commitment and talent of people within Lakeview Public Schools. We all recognize and celebrate the fact that the staff and students are committed to success. The students who make up our school community now have the chance to share their creativity, talent and individualism thought this event.
The event - We are Lakeview-Who am I? - is modeled after the popular series of inspirational, informative and creative "talks" called, TED Talks. Ted Talks are short (usually 15-18 minutes) talks that are conversational in nature but inspiring and informative. In connection and as an extension of Charity Week at Lakeview High School, we want to combine the format of the TED Talk and the talent of our students (K-12) with - We are Lakeview-Who am I? Students will have the opportunity to give a talk to an audience about what makes them unique, talented and motivated.
The talent in this district is extraordinary and it extends into our elementary schools, middle school and high school. Events of this nature are usually reserved for the high school population but we want this event to be different. We are inviting our elementary students and middle school students to participate and show us you they are. It should be quite a night.
